A Summer to Remember & Other Stories

Sea Calling, 16" x 12", oil on linen panel

Since 2026's Summer was truly one to remember -- I thought a very special opening filled with all the stories and paintings remaining from this year's trips to the South of France (personal painting trip in June), Telluride Plein Air (June-July), Plein Air Easton (July -- culminating in winning 3rd Place) and Door County Plein Air in Wisconsin (end of July). There will be more added from North Carolina and the Olmsted Plein Air Competitions and other trips that preceded them.

Shown above clockwise from top left: A Day to Remember (Villefranche-sur-Mer); If Boats Could Talk (St. Michaels MD -- won 3rd Place in Easton Plein Air!); Last Light at the Lake (Door County WI); and Birdhouse and Beyond (Telluride CO)

Time Sweet Time, 12" x 12", oil on linen panel

What I realized -- since paintings are flying out the door off to happy new homes -- pulling together a brief show of these works is my best chance to have you see them in person.

Among Lavender, 24" x 24", oil on linen -- just painted -- inspired by my recently sold plein air works created in Valensole and a video my husband Randy took of me painting there.

Whatever I have completed and still have available from this year's summer adventures

will be in my studio September 11-13.

These paintings will be hanging in my space at the Artists' Atelier in Great Falls that I share with six studiomates -- with more on view just for that weekend in the Arts of Great Falls where we also have a group show. This show is all about the work and stories -- and not as much about how beautifully it is hung.

Many of these paintings are now in private collections -- but here's a recent view of my studio where I hope you'll come for a visit.
