Day On The Slopes

Day 31 - 31 Day Challenge

Last day of the challenge and this was one that felt just like "me."

Day on the "Slopes"  - 12" x 16", oil on linen-lined panel.  Husband Randy agreed to move all sorts of furniture in the dining room so at my easel I could get the full view - almost floor to ceiling through our bay window. Made me love our home even more as I realized this is the very best view of where the neighborhood kids and parents celebrate a snow day.  Unlike almost all the other days in the past year, I really felt my easel was set up right in the "thick of things" - my favorite spot.

All day long, as one family would call it quits, another would arrive. My scene turned from day into night ... suggesting the next painting assuming the snow stays on the ground for a bit.

This is the first time, too, that I was able to not let that wonderful, rare snow go to waste.  Loved it.
