Among Lotuses And Lilies

Spent a lovely Sunday painting with fellow Washington Society of Landscape Painters in the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in DC. We were the invited special guests as part of the DC State Fair. It was my first time visiting ... and painting in this spot. The lotus flowers are hard to believe. Giants in the garden.

Loved the comraderie and oohs and aahs from visitors. It made for one great day.

The WSLP gathers for regular paintouts and some yearly events. Paintouts are followed by critiques by the artists in the groups - friendly and so helpful.
