Stopover

My first time painting airplanes -- came about on the first day of the Knoxville Artists on Location plein air competition. It was COLD and my host led me to having the perfect subjects in the best situation possible given Mother Nature's plans. It made me think of all the people who tell me they can't draw a straight line. Straight lines are tough!

Thank you to my hosts, Pete and Jan Crawford for leading the way to this neat new challenge.

By the way, I won Best in Show in Knoxville in 2022 -- for a different piece but maybe because the event started well?

Love this piece though ... and the adventure of it.  You can see a fast motion video of me painting it on Instagram too. (Should you want...)

Framed dimensions: approx. 17" x 29"
