Way Out to Sea

This was the first painting created on my second day in Cassis of the trip. That turquoise water is what made me head back to Cassis but I also love what this spot means.  It is the way out to sea (thus the title), which to me is the start of an adventure or journey.  All the excitement and anticipation is right there.

Within that view was the rocky cove where I painted "Bathing by the Sea" and "Côte d'Azur" and ate dinner (both nights in Cassis) at a restaurant on a beautiful beach that seemed to be where all the locals went. And, what's beyond that? I'll have to return to find out. Next trip.
