Water Play

Water Play was painted  in Key West, Florida. Picking a place to set up to paint takes a lot of time ... and often I'm thinking about it for days.  I painted two other pieces on this trip right near here with glances around those days leading me to this final painting before heading home.

Both my easel and I are standing in the waves.  I trusted that some folks would play in the surf ahead of me.  That worked. They did ... including a couple who were hoping to be captured kissing. They were. And a wonderful group of kids who wandered back and forth in the waves. Great day.
