Seat by the Sea (Villefranche-sur-Mer)

As we left Nice to head to Aix-en-Provence as our new home base, I wandered all around Villefranche-sur-Mer finding so many spots to paint.  This is the first one I picked and where my easel ended up as a couple of other choices were ruled out because of a chance of rain. Like so many of my paintings when I've returned to a place, this is a continuing story.  I know this view from a different angle, perspective and time.  All let me see a little more.

My French Paintings Collection (or own Tour de France) debuted in my studio at the Artists' Atelier in Great Falls VA with 21 new pieces (including this one) from my 2024 personal painting trip to the South of France - Cote d'Azur and Provence -- plus 19 more works from previous trips throughout France.
