Talbot Lane was my first painting of Plein Air Easton 2026. This street just charmed me. Especially the dark gray house with those gorgeous flowers and every welcoming touch.

Right after starting I heard some cheers behind me ... as a group of Plein Air Easton volunteers were happy to see me out there.

I met the couple who own the house. He made sure no one parked in front to block my view. She climbed a ladder to water the flower boxes on the second floor. Keeping the house looking so inviting was definitely a labor of love.

One I got to witness.

The thought of painting in Plein Air Easton has always scared me a bit. The temperatures soar that time of year ... and I melt.

Painting on this street, I was definitely melting. My husband Randy had found for me and purchased an umbrella hat. Essentially, my head was the holder for an umbrella. I'm sure that was a pretty frightening sight.  But it helped a little.
